WHIRLGIRL: A blast from the past

The other day I happened to see a YouTube video of WHIRLGIRL, an animated series that ran online in 1999 and got picked up by SHOWTIME to launch SHO.COM.

Edgy and clever, the futuristic, sci-fi adventures of KIA CROSS (AKA freedom fighter WHIRLGIRL) and her band of rebels fighting aganst the tyrannical TY HARDEN was ahead of it's time.

Two chapters (6&7) can be viewed here at www.whirlgirl.com/sample_eps/.

If you're in the same boat as me, most people probably think you're crazy when you talk about Whirlgirl but I'm glad to see there are still people who remember the pleather clad heroine! I just wish they would put the whole thing back on the net...with as much junk the internet has to offer I don't understand why it's not.
