WHIRLGIRL: A blast from the past
The other day I happened to see a YouTube video of WHIRLGIRL, an animated series that ran online in 1999 and got picked up by SHOWTIME to launch SHO.COM.
Edgy and clever, the futuristic, sci-fi adventures of KIA CROSS (AKA freedom fighter WHIRLGIRL) and her band of rebels fighting aganst the tyrannical TY HARDEN was ahead of it's time.
Two chapters (6&7) can be viewed here at www.whirlgirl.com/sample_eps/.
